X-Men Origins: Wolverine Premiere

So thanks to my buddy Greg G. I was able to go to the premiere of Wolverine last night at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Didn't get to take any pictures due to the forbidding of recording devices, but it was fun anyway.

I saw several of the stars including Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Durand. Pretty sure I also saw Liev Schreiber and Danny Huston. Mr. Jackman said a few words including mentioning Halle Berry, who was there but I did not see. He also said that Mad Max was his inspiration for playing Wolverine, and gave props to Mel Gibson, who happened to be sitting 3 rows in front of me. I also saw Jon Voight and the Black Eyed Peas where right behind me.

On that note, the Black Eyed Peas are ridiculously annoying. Like 10 year old children, every time Will.I.Am was on screen they hooted and hollered, calling his name out loudly even when he was off camera. I never thought I'd legitimately want to turn around in a theater and say "Fergie! Shut up!" Almost seems like I should have taken that opportunity. :) Btw, Will is not much of an actor, which made it all the more entertaining that he was the one person getting all the "attention."

Anyway, it was a great time and a lot of fun to see the movie officially before the release date. My official position is that the movie was flawed in that they tried to put far too many characters into it, thereby only allowing a couple of them to really develop at all. On the plus side, the opening and action sequences were great and it was a heck of a lot more fun to watch then X-Men 3.

Take that, HGTV!

I made some art for our kitchen and got it printed. I mounted it on the wall this weekend, I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
